Welcome to Aya Behavioral Health! Aya is a group of licensed clinicians who provide mental health services in the DC metro. With the busyness of our lives, we often forget to give ourselves the space to process, vent, or explore our emotions or past hurts. One of our clinicians can support you on this journey to self-care. Along with flexibility in scheduling, Aya accepts most major insurances, along with several types of DC and Maryland Medicaid.
Individual Therapy
Feeling stuck or unmotivated? Are you repeating some of the same patterns? Individual therapy may be the right place for you! In meeting, one on one, with one of our licensed clinicians, you are given a safe space to unpack, and process emotions, behaviors, and beliefs that may be holding you back from experiencing life more fully.
Couples Therapy
Does communication seem off? Did you lose the spark that initially brought you together? Concerns regarding infidelity? Couples counseling supports couples in exploring, identifying, and working through issues with communication, trust, and dishonesty. With the support of a therapist, couples are able to work through, and practice effective forms of communication.
Group Therapy
Do you feel like you’re in “this” alone? Whatever your “this” might be, there are many others who are struggling with the same issues. The group process provides a therapeutic safe-space, where you are able to address issues more collaboratively, with others, who are facing the same issue.

JUst the push you need!
That’s probably the best way to describe my therapeutic style. I have tremendous compassion for people and the issues that prompted them to seek treatment. I will provide the necessary support that is needed to help you grieve past hurts and losses. The next minute, I will figuratively give you a supportive nudge to get you moving forward, while also holding you accountable for identifying and dealing with “your part” in the issue at hand.
